SAMS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY POOR!

I bought a 150 quart cooler last Friday morning. We loaded it with pop and water getting ready for a bus trip tomorrow to Pella Iowa.

We we loaded it I noticed that the drain plug was missing. I got busy and did not go back until this morning. I mentioned to the manager what had happened and instead of just letting me get one off of an existing cooler I would have to bring the one in because it was defective.

The cooler is in a car 50 miles from my location and that is impossible, I told her. She said sorry, that is company policy.

Well I say COMPANY POLICY SUCKS!

All she had to do was walk over to one of the coolers at the store, take the drain plug off and say "Sir, this one now is defective, sorry that you had to come back for such a trivial matter".

This is poor customer service and I do not like it one bit. I deal with the public on a daily basis and am very in tune with Customer Service and how to help people.

This certainly was not it.

I am mad.

To Christopher you are absolutely correct! Your 4 points at the end are dead on. What a bunch of cheap and greedy pricks.

I work at a Sam's Club in Tennessee. 11 times in the last 5 weeks they have cut me from the schedule and not even made the effort to call me and let me know. I live almost 45 minutes away and have absolutely no problem commuting to work. It's frustrating to get to work expecting an eight hour shift, only to have them say, "We don't need you today. Take the day off and we'll see you this weekend."

I will say that on three separate occasions, they have called me in advance to let me know .... AS I WAS PULLING INTO THE PARKING LOT!

A cart 'associate' called in one day and being a team player, I decided to help out. It was a 94 degree day with high humidity and a brightly shining sun. I'm not saying it's protocol, but they should at least provide us sunscreen or something, especially since I'm rather pale AND shave my head. I was chewed out by our Operations Manager for asking her to store-use a $9 pack of sunblock. And after creating a scene in front of some of the members, she buckled. My hours were cut in half the next week.

They coach (a nicer way of saying reprimand) us for not selling enough Plus Memberships when, in reality, all we can really do is ask.

I have called out 5 days since November of last year (it's almost August now) because of my mother's health conditions and the Operations Manager had the gall to tell me that my mother's health had become an 'inconvenience' to her. I politely asked the OM if her mother was still alive, and upon hearing her smartass response, also politely told her to do something that may be anatomically impossible.

Here's some truth:

-If you work for Sam's Club, they don't care about you.
-If you spend less than $200 a week, they don't care about you.
-If your mother is dying, they don't care about you.
-If you are talked into a Plus Membership, after the transaction is complete, they don't care about you.

Yea I worked at a Sams club in upstate NY.
The problem with the company is they are owned by Wal-Mart (which makes it very bureaucratic). The managers don't treat the employees with the respect that they deserve, and they like to pay games like moving you to a department where you have to take a pay cut, and promises for advancement (lol)
the pay is not bad, but consider the fact that the only benefit that you get is a membership card (whoopie).
they also don't take VISA, and manufacture coupons.
They also have this thing called the plus membership (they force cashiers to sell credit cards and plus memberships) which is $100.00 and offers more benifits (lol) they are launching some program called e values which is basic coupons but only for plus members and only certain products. and its differnt each week and differnt "evalues" for each person. NOTHING at this company is straight forward and they always find new ways to complicate things.

They are Idiots and should listen to their employees before they all quit. lol

Joined sam's in Abilene TX two months ago for business purchases. After being badgered repeatedly about tax id numbers and providing every danged thing I use elsewhere for proof of resale I finally gave up after the gnarly woman at the entrance counter pushed one too many of my buttons. I asked for and received a refund and will not shop at this store again. Nasty people who are not reasonable are just the beginning of the issues I have with this outlet. I wouldn't recommend this sams to anyone. Waste of time and money. In three trips since joining I've spent literally hours at the business desk answering to letters received via mail. Even though I am in compliance legally with all necessary paperwork including business license, tax exempt forms etc, sam's employee says it's not adequate. Have tax exempt with many other vendors using same paperwork but to sams it's not enough. Go figure. I guess they don't want any new business or are having a difficult time counting all the money they're making and don't want any more.

Something tells me that "all the people" was just you and "vodka cocktails" were really a couple of wine coolers.

Honcho, you must be 50 years old with kids in college. Bet you live in Minnesota and had to walk uphill both ways to school in 8 feet of snow.
