Beer Update

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

I’m pretty happy with how the home brew turned out. As stated previously, it’s a strong ale. Good color (not exactly red),excellent clarity, nicely carbonated. Goes down smooth, but is possibly a tad bit sweet (hence the alcohol). Solid effort for sure.

Jason’s group made a nice Blue Moon clone. Very good flavor. I like it and will save the two pints I have at my house until this weekend.

Homebrew competition isn’t too far off. Need to work on a recipe or two for entry. A Mai Bock to honor Sprecher and Capital Breweries may be the ticket.

Los Dos Molinos

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

I hadn’t been to Los Dos in many months. I must have forgotten what the hot super-tastee food does to my guts. It’s 10:30PM and I’m wondering if I’ll be getting the “knock knock” in a few hours. Tums and Pepto are rendered useless. I hope I sleep all night.

Nature Boy #2

Forget the damn squirrels on the feeder. It’s bear season.

Do not try this at home. Especially if you live at elevation 9000 along the front range in Colorado. What a nut.

Bear

Neighbor

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

I really can’t stand my neighbor. Total D-bag and thats being nice. I will give $100 to the first person who rips off his arm and beats him senseless with it. Another $50 if you feed the arm to his f-in dogs that keep me up all night.

Stranded

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

Took the Dragon into work on Friday. I enjoy Friday’s because the traffic is lighter and usually means I can top 100mph somewhere around the airport. Anyhow, was low on petro and decided to fill up after work. Graycie was having a little happy hour to celebrate an upcoming birthday so I decided I’d stop at the Circle K on 44th and Camelback. Pulled in, gassed up, sat down and…. nothing. No lights, no engine, no nothing. That sucked. There’s only a couple pumps so it didn’t take long for all the D-Bags to start honking. I asked a guy in a Range to help me push it out of the way. To my disbelief he did, which was cool. Called a couple buddies and Bergy had a set of cables and was over in no time flat. Fired right up. Guess I had a loose terminal. Made it home but maybe it’s another reason for Blue to roll on to someone else’s garage.
